Black scarf in pure yak wool

Yak wool belongs to the same family of luxury fibres as cashmere and merino, and it is the whole reason to choose a scarf like this one. There is no blend here — it is pure yak wool, in black.

The weave is a twill, which runs a fine diagonal through the cloth, and the finished piece measures 70 x 200 cm: stole width, wide enough to go over the shoulders and long enough to wrap twice at the neck. It is hand-woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Care: Air the scarf outdoors overnight rather than washing it after every wear. When it does need washing, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, without rubbing the fibres. Keep it out of the tumble dryer, do not wring it, and dry it flat on a dry towel. Full instructions are on our washing and care page.
