Cashmere shawl in navy blue spray pattern

A navy blue cashmere shawl with a spray pattern, woven in twill from 100% cashmere. Cashmere is warm out of proportion to its weight, which is why 200 x 70 cm of it can sit across the shoulders all evening without feeling like a load — our cashmere page describes how the fibre is collected and graded.

Navy blue is a dark shade, and it works either opened out as a shawl or wound around the neck as a scarf. The same spray pattern runs through the rest of the spray pattern series, and our colour chart shows the full range of shades we weave in.

Care: Cashmere needs washing far less often than people expect — hang the shawl outside overnight and it will freshen. When a wash is due, use a wool and cashmere detergent, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, then press out the water, lay the shawl flat on a towel to dry, and keep it away from the tumble dryer.
