Printed cashmere shawl in turquoise tones

A printed cashmere shawl in blue. The artwork sits on a cloth woven from pure cashmere at 15 µm, in basket weave, at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Basket weave is the plain over-one, under-one crossing of warp and weft — the weave our basket weave stoles are known for, extremely light and almost transparent when held up against the light. At 90 x 200 cm it is the shawl size, made to be worn open over the shoulders as much as wound at the neck.

Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water with a wool and cashmere detergent, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, and avoid rubbing the cloth. Dry it flat on a towel rather than hanging it, never tumble dry, and lift small pills off with a cashmere comb. The full routine is on our care page.
