Printed cashmere shawl in blue/turquoise tones

A cashmere shawl in blue and turquoise, carrying a printed artwork. The cloth is woven first — pure cashmere, 15 µm, in basket weave — and printed afterwards.

Basket weave is the plain criss-cross of warp and weft, and it is the weave behind our lightest stoles: our basket weave page notes they are almost transparent when held up against the light. The shawl measures 90 x 200 cm, which is wide enough to wear open across the shoulders and long enough to drape or fold as you like.

Woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal. The rest of the printed pieces are gathered under shawls with print.

Care: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere, or use the wool programme at 30 degrees, without rubbing. Dry it flat on a towel and never in a tumble dryer.
