Brown and orange tartan scarf

A tartan scarf woven in pure lambswool, in natural brown and orange. Lambswool comes from the lamb's first shearing, and that first fibre is finer and softer than ordinary sheep's wool – warmth without the weight.

The twill weave gives the cloth a supple fall, and at 190 x 35 cm the scarf has the length to loop once around the neck with the ends left long, and the narrow width to disappear neatly under a coat collar. It is an everyday scarf for the cold months; see the rest of our scarves for more.

Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water, or on your machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, using a detergent intended for wool and cashmere. Do not rub the wool, never tumble dry, and dry the scarf flat on a towel so it holds its shape. The full instructions are on our washing and care page.
