Dark grey tartan scarf

A tartan scarf woven in pure lambswool, in dark grey. Lambswool is taken from the lamb's first shearing, which makes the fibre finer and softer than ordinary sheep's wool – the reason a scarf like this can be warm without feeling heavy around the neck.

The weave is twill, which lets the cloth fall softly rather than sit stiff. At 190 x 35 cm it is a classic scarf length: long enough to loop around the neck and still leave the ends hanging, narrow enough to sit under a coat collar. You will find the rest of the range in our scarves collection.

Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water, or on your machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, using a detergent intended for wool and cashmere. Avoid rubbing the wool, never tumble dry, and dry the scarf flat on a towel so it keeps its shape. The full instructions are on our washing and care page.
