Lightweight silk/cashmere poncho in pink

This poncho is made from 85% silk and 15% cashmere, in rose. Silk makes up most of it, which is where the lustre and the cool, smooth feel come from, and the 15% cashmere is enough to hold the warmth in.

It comes in one size and is light enough to live in a bag until you need it. That is really the point of a poncho like this: a light layer you can put on over almost anything, dressed up or dressed down, through the warm spring and summer days. Care: Wash it as you would silk: by hand at 30–40 °C, one piece at a time, with a mild liquid soap rather than powder, which does not always dissolve properly. Never wring it — squeeze the water out gently and dry it flat on a towel, out of direct sunlight, since silk has little resistance to UV light. More about the fibre on our silk page.
