Ice blue silk/cashmere poncho

A poncho in 85% silk and 15% cashmere. The silk gives it its lustre and its smooth, fluid drape; the cashmere is what makes it warm. The colour is ice blue.

It is made in one size, so there is no sizing to think about, and it is light to wear — which is what makes it easy to bring along. Light but warm is a difficult balance for a garment to strike, and it is the reason this one works just as well for casual as for smarter occasions, on a warm spring day or the cooler evening that follows. Care: Silk is the main fibre here, so treat it as silk: hand wash at 30–40 °C with a mild liquid soap, one piece at a time. Do not wring it — press the water out gently and dry it flat on a towel.
