Beige neck warmer knitted in cashmere

A neck warmer knitted in pure cashmere, in beige. It is the smallest piece of cashmere that makes a real difference to a winter day: a closed ring of knit that sits at the throat, where most of the cold actually gets in, with no ends to tuck away or retie.

One size, and shaped to slip under a coat collar without the bulk a scarf adds there. Cashmere at 15 µm is fine enough not to itch against the neck, which is the one place coarse wool is impossible to ignore. Beige keeps it neutral against a dark coat. Care: Worn at the neck, this will meet skin and make-up more than most knitwear, so wash it when it needs it — by hand in lukewarm water with a wool detergent, or on the wool cycle at 30°C.
