Chestnut brown neck warmer in pure cashmere

A neck warmer knitted in pure cashmere, in chestnut brown. At 15 µm the fibre is fine enough to wear directly against the throat, which is the whole point of cashmere next to the skin rather than coarser wool.

It is knitted rather than woven, and made in one size. Pulled on over the head it closes around the neck with no ends to tuck in or work loose, so it stays where you put it under a coat collar, on the bike, or on a walk in cold weather. See the rest of our cashmere neck warmers.

Unlike our woven shawls, which come from our own weaving mill in Nepal, this neck warmer is made in Inner Mongolia.

Care: Knitwear worn under a coat collar rubs, and rubbing is what makes cashmere pill. The small balls are loosened fibres rather than a fault in the yarn, and a cashmere comb takes them off again. Wash only when needed — by hand in lukewarm water with a wool and cashmere detergent, or on the machine's wool programme at 30°C — and never in the tumble dryer: press the water out and dry it flat.
