Curry cashmere pom hat with faux-fur ball

A knitted hat in pure cashmere, curry, finished with a faux-fur pom-pom. Cashmere is the fibre you want against the forehead — it is warm without being scratchy, and it holds that warmth at a fraction of the weight of ordinary wool.

The yarn is spun from 15-micron cashmere fibre, which is at the fine end of the scale and the reason the hat feels the way it does. It comes in one size, and sits with the rest of our knitted hats and our other autumn and winter pieces.

Care: Air the hat rather than washing it whenever you can — overnight outdoors, out of direct sunlight. When it does need washing, do it by hand: lukewarm water, a detergent made for wool, gentle movement rather than rubbing, and the water pressed out instead of wrung.
