Large dark blue scarf with thin stripes

A generously sized scarf in pure lambswool from Glen Prince, dark blue with thin stripes running its length. Lambswool is taken from the first shearing, and that is what you feel in the hand: a wool that is warm without the scratch, and one that keeps its loft rather than flattening after a season.

At 190 x 70 cm it is a large scarf — long enough to wind twice and still have ends to spare, wide enough to lie open across the shoulders like a stole. The dark blue stays quiet enough for a work coat, and the stripes are narrow enough that they read as pattern only up close.

Care: Wash it by hand in lukewarm water, or on your machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, using a detergent intended for wool.
