Dip-dye shawl in fuchsia/coral

Fuchsia and coral, dyed so the two blend into one another rather than meeting at a line — that is the whole idea behind a dip-dye shawl, and it is why no two of them read quite the same way when worn. The cloth is 100% cashmere at 15 µm.

At 90 x 200 cm this is shawl rather than scarf territory: wide enough to wear open over the shoulders, long enough to wrap twice, and light enough that it works over a summer dress as readily as under a winter coat. It is woven in twill, which is what gives it its drape.

Care: Air it outdoors when it needs freshening rather than reaching for the washing machine. For a proper wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees.
