Checkered cashmere shawl petrol/navy

A cashmere shawl checked in petrol and navy, handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal. The pattern is woven rather than printed, carried in the warp and the weft of the cloth.

The yarn is pure cashmere measuring 15 µm, woven in basket weave — the plain criss-cross of warp over weft. At 90 x 200 cm it is a full shawl: open across the shoulders as a wrap, or folded double and worn like a scarf when it is colder.

Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water with a detergent made for wool and cashmere, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees; don't rub, as that felts the fibres.
