Large checkered pashmina shawl in four colours

Equal parts cashmere and wool: the softness of the one fibre, the warmth and resilience of the other. It is a combination that makes a shawl you can wear right through the winter without having to treat it as precious.

The check is carried in four colours — red, brown, beige and grey — a grouping that sits comfortably beside most of what is already in a winter wardrobe. At 70 x 200 cm there is cloth enough to wrap it twice over a coat or to let it fall open across the shoulders as a stole, and the whole shawl weighs 142 grams. Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water, or in the machine on the wool programme at 30 degrees, using a detergent intended for wool and cashmere. Never tumble dry — dry the shawl flat on a towel — and lift any pills gently with a cashmere comb. Our full washing and care instructions cover the rest.
