Knitted cashmere scarf in dark grey

Pure cashmere at 15 µm: each fibre is fifteen thousandths of a millimetre thick, and that fineness is why cashmere feels soft rather than scratchy and warms without weighing anything. This scarf is knitted from it, in dark grey.

Knitted cashmere behaves differently from woven — the loops give it stretch and a springy surface, and it falls in soft folds rather than a flat drape. The scarf measures 70 x 200 cm, which is wrap territory as much as scarf territory: wound at the neck on a cold morning, spread over the shoulders when you sit still. Care: Cool water, a cashmere detergent, and no wringing — squeeze the water out, roll in a towel, dry flat and reshape. Comb off any pills that form where the scarf rubs against a coat rather than pulling at them. Our care instructions for cashmere cover washing, drying and pilling.
