Knitted cashmere scarf in beige

A knitted scarf in pure cashmere, in beige. Knitting rather than weaving gives the cloth stretch and a soft, yielding edge — it moves with you instead of holding a crease, and it drapes into folds rather than lying flat.

The cashmere measures 15 µm at the fibre — fifteen thousandths of a millimetre — and that fineness is what lets cashmere feel soft against the skin and insulate without weight. At 70 x 200 cm the scarf is broad enough to double as a shoulder wrap on a plane or in a cold room. Care: Hand wash in cool water with a cashmere or wool detergent and never wring — press the water out, roll the scarf in a towel and dry it flat.
