Cashmere shawl in blue and petrol spray pattern

Pure cashmere of 15 microns, woven into a shawl of 70 x 200 cm. The pattern is not woven in — it is sprayed onto the finished cloth, so the colour sits in the surface of the weave rather than in the yarn. Here that colour is petrol blue.

It is the size that does most of the work: long enough to loop twice over a coat, wide enough to open out as a wrap across the shoulders in the evening, and light enough that it is no trouble to bring along on the chance you will want it.

Handwoven in our own weaving mill in Nepal. The other spray-dyed pieces are gathered under spray pattern, and handwoven scarves and shawls tells you about the mill and the hands at the looms.

Care: Airing it overnight is usually enough. For an actual wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, and never in the tumble dryer — dry it flat on a towel. Full guidance on our washing and care page.
