Paisley scarf in earth tones

Earth tones are the colours you stop noticing you own, because they already agree with everything else in the wardrobe. This paisley scarf is printed in brown, on cloth woven from 100% cashmere at 15 µm.

It measures 70 x 200 cm — scarf proportions rather than shawl proportions, so it loops twice around the neck and still hangs, and it sits flat under a coat collar. That makes it a piece for the months when you are putting a coat on and taking it off several times a day; it sits in our autumn and winter selection for exactly that reason.

The paisley itself is printed rather than woven, which is what allows the pattern its freedom — you will find the others in paisley shawls and scarves. It is made in Nepal, where we run our own weaving mill.

Care: Use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, and avoid rubbing the fabric — that is what causes felting. Dry it flat on a towel, never in a tumble dryer. If small pills appear where the scarf rubs against a coat, a cashmere comb lifts them off; see our care instructions for cashmere and wool.
