Navy cashmere scarf with light blue stripes

200 x 70 cm of cashmere and wool — a full-length scarf rather than a short one, navy blue with light blue stripes. The composition is an even 50/50 blend, woven in twill, with a fibre thickness of 15 µm.

That length is what makes a scarf flexible: enough to double back through itself, enough to unfold across the shoulders when a coat is not quite enough. Light blue on navy keeps to one colour family, so it goes with the blues already in a wardrobe; the rest of the range is in checkers and stripes.

Care: Cashmere and wool are both protein fibres, so keep enzyme and biological detergents away from this scarf — use one made for wool. Airing it outdoors handles most freshening; when it needs washing, do it by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, then dry it flat on a towel rather than hanging it, and never in the tumble dryer.
