Tartan pashmina shawl in chocolate and cream

A tartan shawl in pure cashmere, checked in chocolate and cream — two colours quiet enough to read almost as one at a distance, until the pattern of intersecting stripes shows up close. The yarn is spun to 15 µm, the fine end of the range cashmere is graded on, and the cloth is woven in twill.

At 70 x 200 cm and 100 grams it is a proper shawl rather than a scarf: long enough to wrap twice at the neck or drape open over the shoulders, and still light enough to wear indoors without thinking about it.

Care: Air the shawl overnight rather than washing it after every wear. When it needs a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — without rubbing the fabric.
