A tartan shawl in red and beige, woven in cashmere rather than wool. Tartan is the pattern of stripes intersecting in different colours that Scotland made its own; here it is done in 100% cashmere at a fibre thickness of 15 µm.
The shawl measures 70 x 200 cm and weighs 100 grams, woven in twill. That is shawl proportions rather than scarf ones: worn open over the shoulders, folded diagonally across a coat, or wound at the neck when it gets colder.
Woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal. Browse more in tartan and in checkers and stripes.
Care: Air the shawl outdoors overnight when it only needs freshening up. For washing, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — and avoid rubbing it, which risks felting the fibres. Dry flat on a towel, never in the tumble dryer, and use a cashmere comb on any pilling. See our washing and care page.
