Soft pink flecked cashmere snood

Knitted in pure cashmere and coloured soft pink with a flecked finish, this snood belongs to the quiet, easy end of the wardrobe. The yarn measures 15 µm, and the fineness is what you notice first: light in the hand, soft where it touches the neck.

Because a snood is a closed ring, it stays where you put it. Wear it singly for a slouchy volume around the neck, double it for a closer and warmer collar, or pull it up over the head when the wind picks up. It pairs easily with a knitted hat or a beret. One size.

Care: Hand wash in lukewarm water, or use your machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere. Skip the tumble dryer altogether and dry it flat on a dry towel, so the weight of the water cannot pull it out of shape. A cashmere comb takes off any pills that form.
