A snood knitted in 100% cashmere, in black — a closed loop rather than a scarf with ends to tie.

Worn long it sits loose at the neck; doubled it makes a close collar; pulled up it covers the head. At 15 µm the fibre is fine enough for all three, including against the face. One size.

Care: Air it overnight rather than washing it whenever you can. For a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30°, avoiding any rubbing of the knit. Never tumble dry: press the water out without wringing and dry the snood flat on a towel. Pilling where it rubs a coat lifts away with a cashmere comb.
