Large grey tartan scarf

Made in Scotland in pure lambswool, this is tartan in grey — the crossing stripes of the pattern, kept to a colour that goes with everything already in the wardrobe. Lambswool is shorn from the sheep the first time, and that first wool is the soft one.

The scarf is 190 x 50 cm, a generous size for a scarf. Wound twice it fills the opening of a coat; worn long it hangs straight down the front. Grey tartan is the version of the pattern you can wear on an ordinary Tuesday without thinking about it.
