Pink and violet model/cashmere stole

A stole woven from 90% modal and 10% cashmere, in pink and violet. Modal is a cellulose-based fibre that drapes softly, and the cashmere in the blend adds warmth without adding bulk.

At 182 x 69 cm this is a stole rather than a scarf. There is enough length to wind it twice around the neck and enough width for it to sit across the shoulders over a dress or a coat, which makes it as usable in the evening as during the day.

The fabric is woven in twill, the binding in which each weft thread is offset from the one before so the weave forms diagonal lines — set out in more detail in our weaving guide. The stole is made in India.

Care: The cashmere in the blend means this stole wants gentle handling. Wash it by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees with a detergent made for wool and cashmere, do not rub or wring it, and dry it flat on a dry towel rather than on a hanger.
