Checkered blue and white wool scarf

Blue and white check, woven in wool. It is the quiet version of a check scarf: two colours, no third, and nothing that dates from one winter to the next.

The weave is basket weave — threads taken in groups instead of singly, crossing over and under each other in bundles. It is one of the four structures explained on our weaving page, and the one that gives this cloth its surface.

At 180 x 70 cm there is enough width to open the scarf out over the shoulders, and enough length to fold and loop it. Made in India. See it with the rest of our scarves.
