Care: Start with airing rather than washing: a night outdoors freshens wool on its own. When a wash is due, use a wool and cashmere detergent, hand wash in lukewarm water or use the 30-degree wool programme, avoid rubbing the fabric, and dry it flat. Never tumble dry.
