Rose knitted gloves made from lambswool

Knitted gloves in pure lambswool, in rose. Lambswool comes from the lamb's first shearing, and the fibre it gives is finer and softer than ordinary sheep's wool – which matters more on gloves than on almost anything else, since they sit against the skin all day.

They are knitted rather than woven, so the fabric has give and follows the shape of the hand, and they come in one size. Gloves are the accessory you notice only once you have left them at home; a pair in every coat pocket is not excessive. They belong with the rest of our hats and gloves.

Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water, or on your machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, using a detergent intended for wool and cashmere. Do not rub the knit while washing, as the wool can felt, and never tumble dry – dry the gloves flat on a towel so they keep their shape. The full instructions are on our washing and care page.
