Checkered silk/cashmere shawl in beige/red/violet

A checked shawl woven in 60% cashmere and 40% silk, in beige, red and violet. The two fibres take dye differently, so a cashmere/silk cloth has more depth of colour than pure cashmere does, and the silk gives it a gentle sheen where cashmere alone stays matte.

It is woven in basket weave and measures 210 x 90 cm at a weight of just 94 g — shawl proportions in a cloth light enough to fold down to almost nothing in a bag. The cashmere is 15 µm, at the fine end of the fibre.
