Handwoven yak cape. Petroleum blue/natural colour

A cape handwoven in yak wool, in petrol blue and natural. Yak wool is a warm fibre, and this cape is made on the loom by hand at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

A cape is a free and elegant alternative to a jacket. You pull it on over whatever you are already wearing, and it leaves your arms free – which makes it as practical for a cold evening indoors as for a walk on an autumn day. It comes in one size.

Care: Yak wool is looked after like any other fine animal fibre. Wash by hand in lukewarm water with a detergent made for wool, or use the wool programme at 30°C, and do not rub the fabric. Never tumble dry – dry the cape flat on a towel, since the weight of the water will pull a wet piece this size out of shape if you hang it. A garment steamer works better than an iron.
