Black/white tie-dye shawl

A shawl in pure cashmere, hand-dyed in the tie-dye technique so that black and white run into one another across the cloth. The dyeing is done by hand, piece by piece, so no two shawls come out exactly alike — see the rest of the tie-dye shawls.

The cloth is woven in twill, the diagonal weave that gives a stole its soft fall and keeps it light in the hand. At 70 x 200 cm there is enough of it to wrap across the shoulders as a shawl or to loop twice at the neck as a scarf.

Woven at our own weaving mill in Nepal from 15 micron cashmere yarn, one of the finest grades of the fibre. More about how the cloth is made on our weaving page.

  • Composition: 100% cashmere
