Natural brown yak blanket with colorful stripes

A large throw in 100% yak wool, woven in twill in the fibre's natural brown and finished with colourful stripes. The brown is the colour of the wool itself rather than a dye.

At 250 x 180 cm this is closer to bedspread size than lap-blanket size — wide enough to lie across a double bed, generous enough to wrap around two people on the sofa. It sits with the rest of our throws and blankets.

Care: Yak wool is animal hair and takes the same care as wool. Air the blanket outdoors overnight rather than washing it whenever it is not actually dirty — a blanket this size needs very few washes over its life. When one is due, use a detergent made for wool, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, and lift it out supported rather than letting the wet weight hang.
