Cashmere throw in white / grey melange

A throw of 190 x 140 cm in half cashmere, half wool — large enough to cover a person on the sofa, and at 550 g heavy enough to stay where you put it. The wool gives the cloth its body and durability; the cashmere, at a fibre thickness of 15 µm, gives it the softness.

It is woven in white and light grey together. Weaving two colours into the same cloth is what produces the melange effect, so the colour reads as a mix rather than a flat single tone. The weave is twill, the diagonal structure that lets a blanket this size drape instead of sitting stiffly.

Care: Airing the throw outdoors is enough most of the time. When it needs washing, use a detergent intended for wool and cashmere — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — and avoid rubbing, which risks felting. Never tumble dry a piece this size: dry it flat on a dry towel, since hanging it wet lets the weight of the water pull it out of shape. Full instructions on our washing and care page.
