A grey blue scarf with a harlequin pattern, woven in pure lambswool in Scotland. Lambswool is taken from the first shearing of the sheep — soft enough to sit against the neck, and strong enough to take daily wear.
At 180 x 50 cm it is a generous rectangle: half a metre across, so it can be knotted at the throat like a scarf or opened out over the shoulders like a small shawl. That width is the difference between an accessory you tuck into a collar and one you can wrap.
See it with the rest of our wool scarves and shawls.
Care: Wash lambswool by hand in lukewarm water, or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, with a detergent intended for wool and cashmere. Don't rub the fabric, as wool risks felting. Press the water out instead of wringing it, and dry the scarf flat on a dry towel — never in the tumble dryer. Pills that form where the wool rubs against other clothing can be lifted off with a cashmere comb. See our washing and care page for the full method.
