Three coloured pashmina shawl in petrol and grey

A blend of 60% cashmere and 40% silk, woven in basket weave. The cashmere gives the shawl its softness and the silk its lustre, and because the two fibres absorb dye differently the colour comes out as a melange rather than one flat tone.

The colours here are petrol blue, light grey and dark grey. At 200 x 90 cm it is a wrap as much as a scarf — enough cloth to fold over the shoulders on a cool evening — and it weighs 94 grams. See the rest of our silk and cashmere shawls.

Handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.
