Oversized cashmere sweater in indigo

An oversized sweater knitted in merino wool and cashmere, in a deep indigo. The merino brings the springy warmth that holds a knit's shape; the cashmere, spun from 15 micron fibre, is what you feel against the skin. Together they make a sweater that is warm without being heavy.

The cut is deliberately generous — one size, worn loose over the shoulders with the sleeves pushed up, or layered over a shirt when the mornings turn cold. Indigo sits easily beside denim, grey and black, which tends to make it the piece you reach for first. There are more in our cashmere sweaters.

Care: Air the sweater rather than washing it whenever you can — a night outdoors, out of direct sunlight, freshens a knit on its own. When it does need a wash, use a detergent made for wool and cashmere, by hand in lukewarm water or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees, and avoid rubbing the fabric.
