Beige knitted poncho in pure cashmere

A beige poncho knitted in pure cashmere. Knitted rather than woven, so the fabric has give in it and follows the shoulders instead of holding a shape of its own.

It is made in one size and goes on over whatever you are already wearing — a shirt, a thin jumper, a dress — which makes it an easy extra layer for the part of the year that is too cold for a scarf alone and too mild for a coat.

Knitted in Inner Mongolia from cashmere fibres measuring 15 µm. The rest of the range is under cashmere ponchos.

Care: Air it overnight rather than washing it when you can. For washing, use a wool and cashmere detergent, by hand in lukewarm water or on the wool programme at 30 degrees, and dry it flat on a towel — knitwear hung up soaking wet is pulled out of shape by the weight of the water and does not recover.
