Light grey lambswool scarf

A slim scarf in lambswool, woven in twill and made in Scotland — a different tradition from our Nepalese cashmere, and a sturdier wool for it. Lambswool comes from a sheep's first shearing, and it is what makes a scarf that stands up to daily wear.

The proportions are narrow and long: 180 x 25 cm, a width that sits flat under a coat collar and a length that still allows a loop and two hanging ends. The colour is light grey, which is about as easy to pair with a winter wardrobe as a scarf gets.

It sits alongside the rest of our scarves.

Care: Lambswool asks for the same routine as cashmere. Air it outdoors overnight when it only needs freshening; when it needs more, use a detergent intended for wool — by hand in lukewarm water, or on the machine's wool programme at 30 degrees — without rubbing the fabric. Never tumble dry, don't wring it, and dry it flat on a dry towel. Full instructions on our washing and care page.
