Cashmere shawl in light brown with black and white stripes

A pure cashmere shawl in light brown, striped in black and off-white. The weave is twill, which sets fine diagonal ribs into the surface, and the cashmere measures 15 micron — finer than the 19 micron mark we hold our yarn to.

Its 200 x 100 cm make it a shawl in the full sense: wide enough to fall properly as a wrap over a coat or a dress, and long enough to fold double as a scarf instead. Because it is pure cashmere, the extra width costs you nothing in weight.

It is handwoven at our own weaving mill in Nepal.

Care: Airing the shawl after use will often be enough. When it does need washing, hand wash it in lukewarm water with a detergent made for wool and cashmere, or use the wool cycle at 30 °C. Avoid rubbing the fabric, since that risks felting the cashmere. Roll it in a towel to take up the water, dry it flat and keep it out of the tumble dryer.
